Speaking our Language is a programme that taught viewers how to speak Scottish Gaelic. It was originally produced by Scottish Television and is now repeated on BBC Alba.

Speaking our Language was based on a show of a similar format for learners of the Welsh language. This programme was called Now You’re Talking. Speaking our Language was presented by Rhoda MacDonald who started each show introducing the contents and location it was filmed at. Rhoda commented on new phrases and followed some short enactments of how words and phrases can be spoken. The series ran for four series up until the late 1990’s originally.
